Future Projects:
Extending the model/display building, and bleachers, including a more convenient and improved First Aid station.
Kitchen improvements are on the way. Currently the board is working on gathering information on what is needed to update the kitchen. We will keep you posted.
Engine Modelers Wanted! Our model engine display has suffered in recent years from benign neglect. Its high time we made a concerted effort to rebuild this interesting part of our show. Please, if you have a model steam engine, model gas engine, model hot air engine, or diorama that you are willing to display at our shows, please contact Tom Downing, or Beth Bupp
Road and ditch repairs will be an ongoing project. Special attention is needed to the covered drainage ditch that runs between Rt 19 and the gas station. There are roads that need some attention, such as the exit road . The exit road by the sled shed is in need of repairs, and also over by the civil war reenactors. If you are willing to help contact the board of directors. Plan to begin work in spring.
Machinery Adoption Program Though we are supposed to be a group promoting knowledge of the old way of doing things, and preservation of the equipment needed, some of our machinery has not been cared for very well. There are numerous contrivances sitting in the corners of our buildings seeking some tender loving care from someone! Some were donated long ago, and some have owners who are long gone. If you have seen such articles in our buildings, and wondered why no one was taking care of it, perhaps this is your chance top jump in and revive the "olde rusty junque" into an attractive display! Just speak up and inquire! Adoption will not change ownership, however each bit of dusting off and restoring will help enhance our show. No money required, please check into it, contact Wayne Young for more info.

Food Vendors and anyone selling human edible items of any kind please note: We must have on file at least one week before the show dates all of the following items:
1. A copy of your food service certification notice
2. A copy of your state food vendor's license.
3. A copy of your liability insurance coverage naming us as "other insured"
Without the above we cannot allow you to serve food to the public. It puts us in violation of Pennsylvania laws and may jeopardize our own efforts to comply.

Change is inevitable. No, not the jingly stuff in your pocket! Every generation likes to do things differently. I guess we should be glad for some changes, others require more thought.
What about the direction that our club should be going? Should we be trying to change our image (whatever that might be) Change our displays? Introduce and permit newer "late models" if you will? We try to stick to the fundamentals that our club was founded on, but its also obvious that we must do more to attract the younger generation, some who can't relate very well to the "old iron" that we grew up with.
Is staying rigid with the 25 years and older the best course? What about the 20 year old "show stopper"? If we only had a crystal ball instead of rusty iron ones! Please do some brainstorming about ideas for the future, or better yet, talk to some young people about our hobby and ask their opinions.

Smokers, Please take notice: We have received notice from the State Board of Health that the dining hall must be "smoke free" at all shows. Any area where food is prepared and handled, must comply with this ruling..
