Portersville Steam Show Kitchen Fundraiser
May 13, 14 & 15th Portersville Steam Show had a rummage sale & flea market to raise money to expanded the kitchen area. For those who have worked in the kitchen can appreciate the fact that it is just too small. It takes a lot of dedicated people to make the kitchen run smoothly, however it is almost too small for a handful of people, and the stock.
The rummage sale took a week to set up and a week to reorganize for the Spring Gas - Up. The large amounts of clothes that were donated filled the entire dinning hall. Miscellaneous items, knickknacks, toys, household goods, and much, much more could be found in the barn. Rich Christy, Carrie Senge, and Catherine Bosch worked hard those two weeks, and it paid off.  The three day rummage sale raised $555.27. During the Spring Gas-Up they continued with the rummage sale and raised another $77.45.  A 50/50 raffle was setup at the May general meeting that raised $33.00. The winner, Leroy Bintrim, donated back $20.00 bringing it to $53.00. And last but not the least, Bill & Margaret Biers brought in a John Deere cake donated by the Kittaning, Foodland. The cake raised an additional $82.00. The total raised for the kitchen is now  $767.72.
A huge Thank You, to all of those who donated items, and to those who supported the sale. We could not have done this without any donations, and supporters.
